INFO:

A perfect romantic getaway with the all important four poster bed for that touch of classic luxury.
The Grange Holiday Cottages are a group of barn conversions finished to a very good standard. They are perfect for families or couples who love the great outdoors as there are many fantastic walks along the rugged clifftops. As well as the main farmhouse which adjoins the owners’ home, (ref 30799), there are five other holiday cottages (refs 30794, 30795, 30796, 30797, 30798) – an ideal setting if there are a few of you wanting to get away together. The owners have a successful campsite nearby and have taken great care in providing an alternative type of holiday with the conversion of the barns to superb holiday cottages. Each cottage has a vaulted ceiling giving a sense of space and light, but also has its own individual charm and character. The cottages have a garden area with outside furniture and BBQs. There is plenty of space for the children to play, but you can always find a peaceful retreat where you can sit and read a book.

There is also a shared laundry room with a washer/dryer, iron and ironing board available for all properties to use. The Grange is situated in Flamborough on the east coast of Yorkshire. This is a perfect base to visit the east coast and all that what Yorkshire has to offer. Although Flamborough is only a small resort compared to its neighbours, it has everything you need from local shops to restaurants, pubs and good old fish and chip shop.

Just along the coast are the RSPB Bempton Cliffs where you can observe puffins and guillemots in their natural habitat. Visitors even come from overseas to see this magnificent display of over 200 thousand seabirds. The famous spa town of Bridlington is just 5 miles away. This is a traditional seaside resort providing a family holiday experience – from donkey rides to crab pools, there is always something to do at Bridlington. The land train travels along the coast up to Sewerby where you can visit the famous Sewerby Hall and Gardens. Stately homes are in abundance with Sledmere, Burton Agnes and Burton Constable. There is the famous Yorkshire Bell boat that takes the tourists along the coast and back again, which children especially enjoy. There is also plenty of nightlife in Bridlington and the famous Spa Theatre provides some excellent shows throughout the year.

Along the coast at Scarborough is Stephen Joseph Theatre which is known for its premieres of almost all of Alan Ayckbourn’s plays. It also boasts the largest open air theatre in Europe. The Grange is a great base from which to see the North York Moors, the Wolds and even the city of York is only an hour away. Come and see for yourself what a great place it is. A luggage room is available at your convenience for late departures or early arrivals. Beach 4½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 900 yards.
